National Indigenous History Month 

June is National Indigenous History Month. People in Canada celebrate National Indigenous History Month every June and recognize National Indigenous Peoples Day on June 21st. These are great opportunities to acknowledge Indigenous Peoples, to learn about their histories, cultures and ways of life.  

School communities can join the celebrations this June by teaching and learning about Indigenous Peoples. Continue connecting through the year to build stronger relationships and greater understanding between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people.  
 
We encourage you to take some time to get curious and explore using these learning resources:

Sound Kreations 

Unfortunately, the Sound Kreations staff member who was leading our dance residency was unwell for most of the week.  Sound Kreations has rescheduled for June 16-19th

Farewell Assembly 

On June 24th at 10:30 am we will be having a farewell assembly for our Grade 3s as well as any other student or staff member who will not be at JSM next school year.  Grade 3 parents are welcome to join us.

June 24 – Farewell Assembly – 10:30-11:30am 

June 25 – Report Cards are available on MyCBE Power School Account 

June 26 – Last Day of School (8:55 – 12:05) 

September 2 – First Day Back – More information will be communicated in August
