Dear JSM Students and Families,
We are so happy to have you back at JSM for the year. It is great to see the halls and classrooms filled with students building relationships and learning new routines for the year.
Morning Entry Changes
This year, we invite students to come into the school at 8:50am through door 2 or door 5. Once inside, students will walk to their classrooms. There will be no outdoor supervision provided and parents will need to stay with their children until the door opens. Students who arrive to JSM on the bus will be supervised by staff as they walk to enter the school.
Birthday Food/sharing of food
We know that birthdays are special days when students want to bring a treat to share with their classmates. Due to a variety of dietary restrictions, and in keeping with the CBE nutrition guidelines, we ask that birthday treats be reserved for parties at home. We are not able to hand out cupcakes, candy, cookies, popsicles etc. at school.
Individual and class photos
School photo day is Thursday, September 5. Lifetouch will be taking individual and class photos and order forms will be sent home soon after.
