December 12, 2025

As we head into our final week before winter break, our classrooms are busy learning about the many winter celebrations and the diverse cultures represented in our school community. Despite the very cold weather over the past two days, students adapted well to staying indoors and enjoyed a variety of alternative activities during recess and lunch. We look forward to a wonderful week of learning and celebration ahead!

Door Decorating Contest

Our school is excited to be holding a winter-themed door decorating contest, and every class has created a unique and festive design. Ask your child about their class’s door and the ideas behind it! Students will take part in the voting on Wednesday, December 17, and we will announce the winning class on Friday, December 19. We can’t wait to see which door our students choose!

Dress for the Weather

Please dress appropriately for the cold weather.  Students go outside for recess and lunch every day.  As per CBE guidelines, if the temperature drops below –20 degrees Celsius, students will stay inside.  If you need support with winter clothing, please stop by the office.  We have a selection of gently used snow pants, coats, and boots to choose from.
