Dear JSM Students and Families,

Welcome to the 2026/27 school year! We hope you had a fantastic summer and are just as excited as we are to begin the new academic year.

Please review the important information below.

Introduction Phone Calls

Teachers will begin reaching out to families on Wednesday, August 26.

If you have not received a call by Friday at 1:00 PM, please contact the office. Please note that the phone call may come from a blocked number.

First Day Meeting Spots

On the first day of school — Monday, August 31 — teachers will meet students on the west side of the school, where they will have signs identifying themselves.

After school, students will be dismissed through their designated doors, which they will use for the remainder of the school year.

School Supplies

All school supplies will be provided by the teachers and are included in your student fees.

Please do not send your child to school with additional supplies.

Breakfast and Lunch Program

We are pleased to offer breakfast and lunch programs to support the well-being of our students.

Breakfast is available to all students.

If your family is experiencing food insecurity and wants to participate in the lunch program, please contact your child’s teacher or the school office confidentially. We are here to assist and ensure that every student has access to nutritious meals.

Kindergarten Students

In June, you received a letter outlining the staggered entry plan, including your child's unique entry date and time.

On your designated day and time, please line up outside Door 4, and a Kindergarten teacher will meet you there.

Please note that Kindergarten students will not be assigned to a specific teacher for the first three weeks.

Backpacks and Indoor Shoes

If your child needs a backpack or gently used indoor shoes, please call Shelley in the office. These items will be provided to your child on the first day of school.

If you prefer to receive them sooner, feel free to stop by the school on Thursday, August 27.

School Hours

Morning Arrival

Students should arrive no earlier than 8:50 AM, as there is no before-school supervision.

Students are welcome to come to either the east or west doors in the morning. The doors will open at 8:50 AM.
